Lucien Crombach, founding partner and CEO of KYRIN Capital is a Dutch national
(MSc. Business Administration/Finance at Maastricht University) and spent the first 5 years of his professional career with KPMG Corporate Finance advising clients on Mergers & Acquisitions. Thereafter he moved into Merchant & Investment Banking (Debt Financing & Equity Capital Markets) where he worked as a Director at ABN AMRO Bank.

Subsequently, he joined as an Investment Director KRC Capital, a global Family Office & Private Equity Fund of an ultra-high net worth entrepreneur and investor, based in the Netherlands. There he worked 5 years on building successful Dutch Ventures (investor/cfo) and Fast Growing Companies which have grown into leading international players and on global Private Equity investments, amongst others in London.

Ten years ago he founded KYRIN Capital, a private equity advisory firm with a focus on Dutch / European / Asian / Global transactions; advising Informal Investors, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI’s), private equity firms, entrepreneurs and corporates. He spent 5 years on the ground in the Asian investment markets of Hong Kong & Singapore and growth markets of Southeast Asia before relocating to his native country the Netherlands in Amsterdam.

Our Vision

In order to achieve extra-ordinary investments results for our clients, our philosophy is that the most important quality for an investor is temperament, not only intellect. An investor with an IQ of 160, does not beat the investor with an IQ of 130. You need a temperament, that derives great pleasure neither from being with the crowd nor against the crowd. You know you’re right, not because the position of others, but because your facts and your reasoning are right. The final and often the hardest and most underestimated part of successfully investing is exiting an investment by an investor or selling a company by a business owner for the right price. Here determining the right timing, marketing and strong negotiations skills come into play.

Our Mission

KYRIN Capital’s aim is to build great companies together with high net worth individuals, business owners and management teams. With respect to investing capital on behalf of our clients, we bear in mind that it’s far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price, than a fair company at a wonderful price. Building great companies and last but not least harvesting the financial rewards for our clients of all the hard work done by an investor or business owner, means that the right M&A skills and expertise are needed to exit an investment / sell a company for a fair price and conditions.
